YARRA VALLEY WATER

After proven performance on several Pressure Reducing Stations for Yarra Valley Water, AHA has often been entrusted with difficult contracts for Yarra Valley Water, requiring construction within strict timeframes or in difficult conditions. Examples of this include the assistance with the re-design and the construction of the Eltham PRV due to severe sloping site conditions, and the construction on the first recycled water station to service the Aurora housing development in Epping North.

Working closely with Yarra Valley with these Pressure Reducing Stations, AHA has also assisted in the introduction of innovations such as Solar Power, designing and constructing 4 solar powered sites to date.

“Thank you for your efforts this year in helping us achieve the company KPI of 5 PMA’s commissioned in the financial year. Your work on the Wheelers Hill, Reservoir and Lilydale PMA’s was much appreciated and well recognised within YVW.” Neil Walsh, Project Manager, Yarra Valley Water

CARRUM STORM WATER PUMP STATION

The Carrum Storm Water Pump Station constructed for the City of Kingston is an example of the range of AHA capabilities. This project involved the construction of 7m deep pump well less then 100m from the bank of the Paterson River. With the water table only 1.5m from the surface, Caisson was the selected method of construction for the 4m diameter pump well.

With the use of a long reach excavator and custom fabricated steel formwork, AHA completed and commissioned this unique job without incident.

"The City of Kingston has dealt with AHA Constructions for the provision of a large stormwater pumping station and found them to be in the top tier of contractors. The Carrum 1000 litre/sec pumping station was built in very difficult conditions and involved Deep Caisson construction methods. This project was completed with the utmost professionalism and has given Council the confidence to do similar projects again." Tim Scott, Senior Engineer, City of Kingston
